Legend has it that Flagstaff
was named so because of a
Hemlock tree that was struck by lightning and was stripped of bark.
They say they later named Flagstaff
Arizona after it because
it had a special energy there. A "vortex"?
There have been several people who tell us that the building itself was the
1900 Pan American building at the worlds fair.
The Dorsey Brothers
were the house band and orchestras like Tommy Dorsey, Frank Sinatra, Glenn
Miller, Benny Goodman and the like played their hearts out here. They say
the inside is built like a violin for acoustics.
Continuing...then over the last few years it was
decaying form lack of TLC and the bands and crowds were more into heavy
metal music and the place became a shambles..
With energy, history, spirit and
a lot of love and long days today it is
open for us to respect and enjoy once again.
